Transaction fees at Tentary

The use of tentary.com is generally free of charge. There are no subscriptions, monthly fees or premium accounts.
When you sell something with Tentary, we charge a transaction fee of 1-5% of the product price. In addition to this transaction fee, a payment processing fee is charged per payment method. This payment processing fee is charged by the respective payment processor (e.g. PayPal) and does not go to Tentary.

The transaction fee

The exact transaction fee depends on how much total revenue you have generated through Tentary.

After each successful transaction, we check whether you qualify for a new fee level. If this is the case, we will automatically adjust your fees. You will also receive a notification by e-mail about this.
You can view your current fee level in your account.
What are payment processors, and who receives the payment processing fee?
Tentary provides a platform for you to sell your digital products. We handle the presentation of your products, the hosting, the transaction handling and the delivery of the products. For payment processing in the background, we work with service providers such as PayPal and Stripe.
These external payment processors generally charge a transaction fee (often called payment processing fee) for their services.
Note: When you set up your Tentary account, you will be guided through the configuration of those payment methods. To sell, you will need an account with the appropriate payment processor. One advantage of this is that you get paid your earnings directly.

Questions

How is the total revenue calculated for the fee classification?
Total revenue is counted as all revenue since your account was created, minus refunds. The revenue is not counted annually, but since the creation of your account.
Can I fall behind in the fee classification?
No, because we do not recalculate sales every year, but count the real "lifetime" sales. Your fees can only decrease over time.
How is the transaction fee calculated if the purchase price is reduced by a voucher?
The transaction fee is always based on the final sales price. Both the fees charged by Tentary and the fees retained by the payment service providers (Stripe and PayPal).
Is there a transaction fee for free products?
No, in this case there is no fee.
