Sell vouchers and tickets

With Tentary you have the possibility to sell digital vouchers and tickets.
In this article, we will show you how to create and manage vouchers and tickets. Even though only vouchers are mentioned in the following text, the same methodology can be applied to selling and managing tickets.

Create a voucher

To add a new product, first log in to your Tentary account and navigate to the products page. Then click on the "+ New Product" button and select a product type. On the following page, you can set up your product.
It is important that you select the option "Treat product as Voucher / Ticket". This setting will give you the option to mark purchased vouchers as redeemed (see below "Redeem voucher codes").
To manage vouchers, you can take advantage of the fact that a unique and individual order number is generated for each order. The order number is visible in the purchase confirmation e-mail and on the download page for your product, and can therefore be used as a coupon code.

Recommendation

Basically, you are still free to upload file(s) or links as the product that you are selling. However, we recommend that you upload a PDF or image with the design of your voucher, including a blank field for the actual voucher code.
Variant 1: You also check the option "Stamp/Watermark" in the product settings. In this case, not the name and e-mail address of the buyer is used as a stamp, but the order number.

Order number as stamp:

Variant 2: Buyers manually write their order number in the blank field in your PDF as the voucher code.

The order number is unique and can later be marked as "voided" or "redeemed" in the orders overview.

Redeem voucher codes

As mentioned above, a unique and individual order number is generated for each order (not only vouchers). This order number will be clearly visible to each buyer in the purchase confirmation e-mail and on the download page.
You can use this order number as a voucher code.
If you have activated the option "Ticket/Voucher" when adding a product, an additional button "Redeem / void" will be displayed on the page where you can manage individual orders.

After you click on the "Redeem / void" button, a new entry will be added to the purchase activity feed. This way, you can check if vouchers have already been redeemed.
