Create and send email campaigns

On this page, you will learn everything you need to know about sending an email campaign to your subscribers.

A campaign is an email that is sent once to all or some of your subscribers. It can be used to share information about new product releases, send out a newsletter, or just stay in touch with your subscribers.

Create a campaign

Log in to your Tentary account and go to the Emails page. Then click on the "New Campaign" button.

Name

Give your campaign a name. The name is visible only to you and helps you organize your messages.

Recipients

Specify who should receive the emails of this campaign. You can choose from various recipient circles. For example: All subscribers or subscribers who have purchased certain products from you.

Email

Everything you enter here will be visible to the recipients of your message. Write the subject and body text of the campaign email.

The text box allows you to use the following formatting:

  • plain text
  • Bold text
  • italic
  • underlined
  • Strikethrough
  • Quotes
  • Heading 1
  • Heading 2
  • Heading 3
  • Unsorted list
  • sorted list
  • Links

Since emails are displayed differently on almost every device and software, only certain formatting is allowed for the text. Before sending emails, incorrect formatting is automatically removed, e.g. caused by copy & paste.

Save and delete

When you are satisfied with your email or want to continue later, click the "Save as draft / Save changes" button.

To delete your draft, click the "Discard / Delete" button.

Testing and sending a campaign

Create a new campaign or open an existing campaign draft (drafts are displayed on the Marketing page).

Send a Test Message

Before you send a campaign to your subscribers, you should send a test message to yourself. To do this, click the "Send test" button.

You will receive your test campaign to your own email address within a few minutes. We use your account email address (the address you use to log in to your Tentary account).

The appearance of the test message is the same as the one your subscribers will receive. Only the sender will be different in the final email (details below).

Send Campaign

Once you have reviewed your campaign and are ready to send it, click the "Send now" button. Finally, confirm the dispatch and you're done!

The campaign will appear as sent on the Marketing page, and you can now see the number of recipients. Your message will be queued in the background and sent to all your recipients within a few minutes.

The campaign will be sent with the following sender information:

From: "Your company name" <noreply@b.tentary.com>

Reply-to: "Your email for customers queries"

You can see and update the information in your account.
